A full time lecturer since 2011, Mohd Akmal started off into academic with Product Specialist for IT consultant firm in Sri Damansara. Having a good industrial background, he joined Computer Science Department of Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Kuala Lumpur specializing in computer network and computer security. He had taught System Architecture and Network, Cisco, and Data Communication. Upon becoming Kolej University Poly-Tech MARA in 2015, he was entrusted to teach CCNA Security, CCNA Routing and Switching, Ethical Hacking, Information Security Management and Computer Network
